| I've always considered the T1S to be an overpriced tire for what you get but I've found the T1R to be quite different. As for the S-03, talk about the stiffest sidewalls EVER. Very harsh but performed well and while I miss them, they don't make the sizes I need so they are out. While the Toyos have an insane break-in period (so bad I may switch anyway), they improved ten-fold afterward. In straight-line acceleration the Toyos destroy my S-03s. I've never had any tire grip as well as these do and the S-03 sidewall sure didn't help. I'm sure I've given up some of the turn-in grip and other features of a truly stiff sidewall but for a street car the trade-off was worth it to me. Especially since the T1Rs are more forgiving as grip is exceeded whereas my S-03s would come out from underneath me. So yeah, I guess I'm all over the place. I absolutely love the straight-line grip of the T1R but I'd really like to get back the cornering performance of an S-03 style tire. As such, I'll probably be trying something new this time around. Perhaps even the Goodyears since I know Greg D. has had great things to say about them as well. If they can hook up even close to the T1Rs, I'll be happy. I still can't get over that Continental being second though. Makes my head spin.
